The Yuzang Vonng, a new alien race, have come to terrorise the Republic. They don't know what they want, all they appear to do is take worlds and sacrifice hostages. They don't seem to want to bargain and they defiantly don't want peace. Their aims are a mystery. As the reader, we know they plan to spiritual cleanse the whole sector, they want only to please their gods, and to do this they seem to bask in pain. This is an ongoing fight. One probably more deadly than the one with the Empire years before.
