Theorys

Sumarisation of things deduced by the descussion taking place in the Forum.
In said Forum we have numerous descussions taking place, and numerous questions being asked about the in depth workings of the Star Wars Universe, I am worried that when these conversations reach their conclusions they will be forgotten in the midtst of a load of stuff. To prevent this future catastrofy, i have decided to dediate a page to relaying these theorys to the public.

Is Anakin the Chosen One??? (added: 08/12/02)
This was one of the orrigional topics in my forum and I was trying to inspire people to use there imagination a little. After a long and drawn out descussion we decided that when our dear friend George said: "Anakin is the Chosen One" that maybe we were focusing our attentions in the wrong direction... (He didn't exactly say that but he might as well have done)

Lightsabers and BLOOD!!! (added: 08/12/02)
So why is it that when some people get body parts chopped off by a lighsaber they bleed and others don't??? Well the theory here is that it depends on what speices you are as to how you react to having bits of you chopped off - this theory was founded by Sandra, (A Bad Feeling About This)

Did He shout Carrie? (added: 13/03/03)
Maybe, maybe not. Officially he said: "We did it!" but they are not going to admit it are they? Myself and Sandra thought it sounded a little more like "hey!" And iloveyouiknow thought it something to do with blue milk, but there was no real ending agreement or verdict.

Why was Obi-Wan on Tantooine? (added: 13/03/03)
You know coz Yoda was hiding on Dagoba becasue of the cave slash tree. I said it was a cave but iloveyouiknow said it was a tree, please tell me if you know the route of this confusion.
So, we never did figure why it was that it was Tantooine, we actually had a little debate as to whether or not Vader was hunting down ALL the Jedi, maybe he was just looking for Yoda but then we just decided we didn't know why Tantooine maybe all will be reveilled in EIII but then again maybe not.

The Death of Jabba the Hutt (added: 13/03/03)
How did Leia manage to kill the "All Mighty Jabba?" We have previously in this scene watched Jabba effortlessly knock 3-P0 over, so how did Leia manage it?
There was no over all agreement for this, no matter how much we disected it. But we had several ideas:

Did Jango Fett die too easily? (added: 13/03/03)
I think the verdict was no, not really. Mayhap we did expect a little more action out of him, but lets face it, Mace Windu is pretty hot with that lightsaber and a mere bounty hunter isn't really expected to stand against a Jedi Master effortlessly. And it was really boba fett that has the unbeatable reputaion.

The Force (added: 13/03/03)
Is the force more of a religion a magic or a science? I think the main vibe was it's a bit of all three.

"I think The Force is a glorious combination of all of these things. It has such a hardened and well established ideological quality that it would be impossible not to compare it to religion/faith. It's filled with mystical qualities and prophetcs - and, by extention - prophecies: such as Anakin as the 'Chosen One' (or Messiah maybe?). The Force is also a kind of science because it is deemed a natural element in the universe (like gravity) but it is also pseudo-mystical (like the Buddhist notion of 'kharma'). The attitudes of the Jedi towards things like anger, control, love and hate also show The Force to be deeply philosophical. The Force is essentially a faith, and ideology, a craft (in the magical sense maybe), a science, a philosophical choice and it's adherents (the Jedi) are warrior-priests, philosophers, practitioners, ideologues and Grand Masters of a Higher Order.. but that's just the opinion of a mere mortal."

Death in Fiction (added: 13/03/03)
The question we were looking at here was, killing off main characters, like Chiewe and Anikin, well firstly is it good or bad, and then should it be alloud. Killing off main characters can be a very emotional thing and be very very good when done well and i think when you know a character that well and a good author is wrting it is can be very emotional and very good when that character dies. However, we suggested that maybe only the author who created the character whould be allowed to kill them off, or if a main character's death then it should be a proven author who writes it, one of the good ones, that are well established in the SW universe.

Those are currently the only ones with clear and consise verdicts, more will be added as and when!!! If you have a theory you wish to discuss or an argument you wish to bring forward, feel free to add it to my forum.
